As we ramp up to another summer season here on the Eastern Shore, things are as busy as ever.
ICYM some of the big recent news, here’s a brief recap:
1. Due to sweeping budget cuts, my award winning public radio show “Coastal Connection” was cancelled at the end of January after 4 and a half years on the airwaves. I’ll also be leaving WAMU 88.5 FM in Washington in May to pursue the next chapter of my journalism career. More on that TBA.
2. I launched a new web series called “Curtain Call: Historic Theaters of the Eastern Shore” which you can find on the “videos” page of this website or here: https://www.youtube.com/user/bryandrusso
3. Musically, I was honored to open for the formidable Texas based blues trio The Los Lonely Boys and the Grammy-nominated blues powerhouse “Heritage Blues Orchestra” in March. Both shows were awesome. Here’s a video from the Los Lonely Boys show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QTENMsBX-A
4. I have been sponsored by PRS Guitars and will be playing the amazing S2 Mira (semi-hollow) as my main guitar from here on out. It’s as classy sounding as it is aesthetically stunning (see pic above)
5. I have a huge project in the works….and it has been keeping me up at night with excitement. I can’t wait to share it with you.
There’s the recap…please check out the “shows” page to find out where to see a show and I hope to see you soon!
